Produce

Southern Vancouver Island is one of the most moderate climates in the world and is most conducive to both agriculture and floriculture. We offer a large variety of produce including fresh fruits and vegetables, flowers, and squash. Our goal is to improve our community’s health and reduce our community’s carbon footprint by increasing the supply of fresh, locally-grown produce in-season. Our produce is organically grown without the use of sprays.

Fruits and vegetables are an important part of a healthy diet, and variety is as important as quantity. Fruits and vegetables are generally low in calories, high in fiber and nutrients such as vitamins and minerals. A diet rich in fruits and vegetables can lower blood pressure, reduce the risk of heart disease and stroke, prevent some types of cancer, lower risk of eye and digestive problems, and have a positive effect upon blood sugar, which can help keep your appetite in check.

Fruits and veggies do not “die” when picked but continue to take in oxygen, break down starches and sugars and release carbon dioxide. Therefore, the less time between picking and enjoying your food, the more vitamins and nutrients you and your family receive from your food. Buying produce direct from the farm is the best way to source the most fresh and nutritious produce available on the market today.

We encourage you to Buy BC, Buy Farm Fresh and Buy Local!
